Shift Gives is our social impact program, a way for us to make a meaningful contribution to the communities that we live, work, and play in. This isn’t just a checkbox for us—it’s an essential part of who we are.
Shift for social impact
Just as technology touches every aspect of modern life, we want our reach to go further—into the communities we’re a part of.
Supporting community initiatives with funding
Each quarter, we donate a portion of our profits to nonprofits and organizations that are making a tangible impact in fields like education, technology, health, climate action, and social equity.
Why did we launch Shift Gives?
We prioritize alignment, transparency, and consistency in all our social impact efforts. The organizations we volunteer for and support financially should embody one or more of the following.

Our Place Society
This community organization provides critical shelter and food to Victoria’s most vulnerable people. Over the years, we’ve offered hands-on involvement like serving hot meals and donations to sustain the wide range of services offered from housing and hygiene to outreach and counseling.

Being a part of a community means giving back to it
We give our team paid time off to volunteer, in addition to our collective, annual volunteer event to build stronger connections with the communities where we live and work.
The Shift Impact Grant
We want to support initiatives creating a meaningful and measurable environmental impact. That’s why we launched the Shift Impact Grant, a $25,000 USD annual grant to help sustainable projects get liftoff.
