Pontiac began in 1907 as the Oakland Car Company of Pontiac, Michigan. Shortly after, the company was acquired by General Motors and the name shortened to Pontiac. During the 1930s and 40s, the automaker successfully sold coupes, sedans, and family-friendly wagons in the low to mid-price range. Pontiac had a modest run of success in the early 200s with the Vibe, Solstice, and G8, but GM's financial troubles in 2008 and 2009, forced them to shutter the division. The last Pontiac rolled off the lines in 2010.
Pontiac has several drive trains available including all wheel drive, front wheel drive, and rear wheel drive.
